Children Age 6-18

Moorland House is Revive Social Care’s children’s home in Park Hall, Oswestry, supporting up to four children and young people aged 6–18 with social, emotional and behavioural needs, including mild to moderate learning difficulties. Our purpose is simple: provide safety, belonging and the consistency that helps children thrive.

Home should feel like home. Moorland House offers four individual bedrooms, a spacious lounge with a gaming area, a kitchen-diner, bathrooms on both floors, and a large rear garden for play and fresh air. There’s parking on a private driveway and good links to local transport and the town centre, just over a mile away.

Care that’s ‘whole child’. We combine high-quality daily living—good food, routines and positive role models—with personalised plans that set clear goals and celebrate progress. Children help shape their plans and take part in regular community meetings to share their views.

Registered Children's Home

Education first.

We work closely with local schools and specialist provisions, support EHCPs/PEPs, and create calm study spaces at home. Where helpful, our team accompanies children to school and reduces support as confidence builds.

Healthy minds and bodies. Every child is registered promptly with GP, dentist and optician; we maintain strong links with mental health services (e.g., CAMHS) and promote active lifestyles through a wide range of hobbies and clubs—from football and swimming to libraries and hill walking.

Safe by design. We never use blanket surveillance; individually risk-assessed door alarms are set overnight to keep everyone safe. Staff are trained in PRICE behaviour support, prioritising de-escalation; restraint is used only to prevent harm. Bullying and discrimination are not tolerated. Children know how to complain and are supported to be heard.

Relationships matter. We actively facilitate family time and professional networks—on site, in the community, and online—when safe and in a child’s best interests.

Strong leadership, robust staffing. Registered Manager Brett Thomas (Level 5 Residential Childcare) leads our experienced team; Responsible Individual Marvin Muza provides oversight. Daytime support is typically 1:1, moving to shared night staffing with on-call leadership 24/7. We plan all admissions carefully (no emergency placements) to ensure the right match. To discuss a referral or learn more about Moorland House, contact Revive Social Care. We’re here to help children feel safe, grow in confidence and move forward with hope.
